Geraldton, WA hosted the 2009 CLOUGH Cup tennis tournament and the Cronje family was there to support Christoff, our star player.

He played for the Great Southern B team and they had mixed results.

The competition were stiff and many matches were lost due to lack of experience or concentration. Boy did Christoff learn a lot in a few days. He eventually managed to use what he has learned and manged to win a match with his doubles partner. Everybody was very happy for them and at last there was something to celebrate.

Doret spend most of her time with Christoff at the courts starting at 07H00 in the morning. Carina, Karel and myself slept in every morning and had a swim before we joined the others at the tennis.

The CLOUGH Cup will be in Busselton next year and we look forward to it.

Geraldton was a bit windy and hopefully the conditions will be better next year.
